About Michael Broad
Music Teachers 4 Schools was founded by Michael Broad MA (Teaching & Learning), building on over 15 years experience in education.
Michael brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to every setting that he works with. Michael started off delivering music workshops as part of his role as a youth worker for Knowlsey MBC, Merseyside. In 2003 Michael started to work in school settings working with vulnerable students as a mentor, later working with young people displaying challenging behaviour as a Learning Support Unit Manager.
Throughout these experiences Michael developed a passion for using music to engage with the most vulnerable and challenging young people.
Michael moved into teaching music in schools in North & East London after gaining QTS in 2007. He was Head of Music at a large secondary school in Newham before becoming Head of Performing Arts at a school in Waltham Forest.
